  After hearing the Government announcement that Supermarkets would be having special shopping times for seniors ,I rang IGA maxi store Castlemaine to determine if they would be doing this.A very abrupt and unhelpful employee told me there was no need , as they have everybody in there,whatever that meant in response to my question. Recently many shelves have been emptied in this store and any attempt to make in store elderly shopping more user friendly would be helpfull .Unfortunately this store has benefitted from no real competition in Castlemaine for years which has resulted in treating customers poorly in price and service .

  Overpriced to the hilt. Limited deli & seafood section. No bulk chicken in deli area, only higher marked up lines in butchers cabinet. Has improved gourmet lines since reno's, but still need to cater for locals more, as IGA has the monopoly in town
